Mr. Thomas Walton "Tommy" Richardson, 71, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on August 20, 1951 in Elbert County, GA, he was the son of the late Walton E. Richardson and Gladys Gaines Richardson. Mr. Richardson was a retired machine operator for Tenneco Automotive Equipment Company and BASF Hartwell. He was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and a US Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife: Kathy Murray Richardson; one daughter: Jennifer Swaney (Josh) of Hartwell; one sister: Gloria R. Campbell (Billy Ray) of Dewy Rose; two grandchildren: Kayden Swaney and Caleigh Swaney. Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

A celebration of life for Mr. Tommy Richardson will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Lewis and Rev. Phillip Murray officiating.
