Obituary
Mr. Odell Thompson Harmon, Jr., 74, of Starrs Bridge Road, Canon, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his daughter's home.
Born on April 14, 1941 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Odell Thompson Harmon, Sr. and Ruth Hall Harmon.Mr. Harmon was a retired manager for Tenneco with forty seven years of service and a member of the Canon United Methodist Church where he served on various committees.
Survivors include two sons: Chris Wilson and Tim Wilson both of Hartwell; one daughter: Rhonda O'Barr of Bowersville; three grandchildren: Tori Welborn, Megan Fleeman, Kandice Harper and five great-grand children also survive. Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Jean Smith Harmon and twin brother Edwin Harmon.
Memorial services will be Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Childress, Rev. Tim Taylor and Rev. Don Nestor officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
