Ms. Matilda Patricia "Tillie" Bundy, 76, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.

Born on January 12, 1944 in Bowersville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lee Bailey and Lucy Belle "Bee" Bradley Bailey.Ms. Bundy was a retired Registered Nurse from Northside Hospital and she attended the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.

Survivors include her son: Will Bundy (Jessica) of Donalsonville, GA; three daughters: Elizabeth Medley of Newnan, GA, Rebecca Stringer (Shane) of Destin, FL, and Melissa Bundy (Scott Miller) of Richmond, VA; three brothers: Wade Bailey of Hartwell, Joe Bailey (Lynn) of Chamblee, GA, and Mickey Bailey (Dolores) of Kennesaw, GA; two sisters: Martha Worrell of Hartwell, and Elise Thornton of Treasure Island, FL; six grandchildren: Kimberly, Cheyenne, Nathaniel, Mallory, Addy, and Raegan; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ms. Bundy is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother: Morgan Bailey.

Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks.

"Tillie" wished to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date by her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
