Mrs. Timmie Harris Hackett, 88, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at her home.

Born on October 13, 1936 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Ed Harris and Edna Tallent Harris.  Mrs. Hackett was retired as a Textile Spinner and of the Church of God Faith.

Survivors include a son: Jimmy Lee of Hartwell; three daughters: Gail Powell of Starr SC, Marie Carver of Bowersville GA, and Emily Saxon of Canon GA; one sister: Tonya Blount of Thomaston GA; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Hackett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Tom Hackett; a son: Junior Lee, three brothers: Amos Harris, J.D. Harris, and Harold Harris and a sister: Juanita Frank.

Mrs. Hackett wished to be cremated and the family will have a service to remember her at a later date privately.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
