Mr. Thomas Patrick "Tom" Dancy, 67, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on June 3, 1955 in Schenectady NY, he was the son of the Charles Edward Dancy Sr and Teresa Ann Ward Dancy. Mr. Dancy was a retired communication sales consultant with General Electric and was a Certified Flight Instructor. Tom was a member of the Five Guys Flying Club and loved riding motorcycles, traveling, RVing, boating, grilling and hiking.  He was of the Catholic faith.

Tom had the best laugh, told the best stories, and loved his friends and family beyond measure.

He is survived by his wife: Louanne Klenkel "Lou" Dancy; two daughters: Brynn Dancy Green (Jack) of Athens, Keir Dancy Woodbury (Brian) of Roswell; two brothers: Norman Dancy of Tokyo Japan, Joe Dancy of Colorado Springs CO; one sister: Nancy Dancy of Bradenton FL and two grandchildren: Scarlett Woodbury and Jesse Woodbury. Mr. Dancy is preceded in death by one brother: Charles E. Dancy Jr.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.
