Mr. Thomas H. "Tom" McLane, 57, of Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on September 28, 1965 in Royston, GA, he was the son of the late Bobby A. McLane and Annie Merle Bratcher McLane. Mr. McLane was a farmer and worked on McLane Farms. Tom was also a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where he was on the cemetery committee, a Deacon, and coached church basketball. He was also on the Board of Directors of the Hart County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife: Angie Cornelison McLane; son: Thomas "Jayce" McLane of Hartwell; daughter: Jenny Byers (Brian) of Hartwell; two brothers: Earl McLane of Hartwell and Bill McLane (Janice) of Canon; and two grandchildren: Gavyn & Zaylee Byers.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.  Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Tom McLane will be held Monday, October 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Webb officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
