Mr. Tommy William Alewine, age 56, of Lavonia, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home.
Born March 14, 1957, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Tom and Nathel Ann (Herring) Alewine. He worked for Milliken as a fixer. Mr. Alewine attended the Price Chapel Church of God.
He is survived by his wife: Carrie (Wooten) Alewine; daughter: Nikki Alewine; sons and daughters-in-law: Brad and Kim Alewine, Ryan and Brandi Alewine, and Andrew and Juana Alewine; grandchildren: Karly Morgan, Maddie Morgan, Jorja Morgan, Aubrey Alewine, Lizzie Alewine, Vander Alewine, and Aizen Alewine; sisters: Susan Horsley, Wanda Herron, and Joy Lewallen; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home withRev. Johnny Stowe officiating. A private burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.
