Mr. Thomas Larry "Tommy" Bailey Sr., 64, of 1225 North Forest Ave, Hartwell, died Friday, December 28 at VA Medical Center, Augusta GA.

Born on July 2, 1948 in Royston GA, he was the son of the late Winfred Walker Bailey and Ruth Elizabeth Doker Bailey.He was employed at R & K Industries in Bowman and was a US Army Vietnam War veteran.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Bailey Jr. of Hartwell; a step-son, James Bailey of Elberton; a sister, Ruth Harris of Hartwell; a brother, Bob Bailey of Hartwell and seven grandchildren also survive.Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marty Bailey; a grandson, Logan Bailey and a sister, Margaret Sue Bailey.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lynn Kellum officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer with military honors.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.The family is at the home of his brother, Bob Bailey, 1253 North Forest Ave, Hartwell.
