Mr. Tommy L. Floyd, 63, of Seed Cleaner Road, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on August 7, 1955 in Royston GA, he was the son of the late William Grady Gunnells and Mary Frances Floyd Gunnells. Mr. Floyd was a retired forklift operator for Tenneco Automotive Co. and a member of the Jehovah Witnesses Church.

Survivors include his wife: Tammy Turner Floyd; one son: Shannon Floyd (Kelly) of Hartwell; two daughters: Dawn Hardmon (Tim), Crystal Floyd all of Hartwell; one brother: James Gunnells (Cindy) of Hartwell; ten grandchildren: Brett Floyd, Will Hardmon, Hannah Hardmon, Taylor Floyd, Dylan Floyd, Colin Floyd, Nolan Clay, Natalie Clay, Raylon Wright, and Christopher Wright. Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Matthew Floyd; one brother: William Grady Gunnells, Jr. and two sisters: Susie and Inez Gunnells.

A memorial service celebrating Tommy's life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell prior to the service.The family is at the home of Dawn Hardmon, 1036 Seed Cleaner Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
