Mr. Thomas Reuben "Tommy" Risner, 47, of 690 old 29 Hwy, Hartwell, GA, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at his home.
Born June 4, 1959 in Anderson, SC, he is the son of Reuben Arnold Risner and Ruby Nell Harper Risner.Tommy was self employed as an auto mechanic and was of the Baptist faith.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Alice Floyd Risner of the home; parents, Arnold Risner and Ruby Nell Harper Risner; daughter, Debbie Faye Risner of Hartwell; step-son, Chris Evans of Charleston, SC; brother, Allen Risner of Hartwell; two grandchildren, Austin Risner and Ashley Risner; and one step grandchild.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2006 from the Hartwell chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate.Burial will follow in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.The family will be at the home of Arnold and Ruby Risner, 54 Baker Street, Hartwell, GA.
