Mrs. Tonnie Willis Simpson, 47, of 322 Jud Cole Road, Bowersville, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, SC.
Born on October 16, 1964 in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Allan P. Willis and Annie Lou Jordan Willis.She worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Rex Patterson in Toccoa, GA.Mrs. Simpson was a member of the Church of Christ in Lavonia, and also enjoyed teaching and playing the flute.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Simpson; one son: Samuel Allan Simpson; and one very special aunt: Morene Sokol.Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11:00am. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Evangelist John Massey and Mr. Jeffery Simpson officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday.The family requests that special memorials be made out to Sam Simpson's College Fund c/o Athens First Bank & Trust, 100 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA30643.The family is at the home.
