Mr. Tony James Bryson, 61, of Moore Road, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Hart Care Center.

Born on November 4, 1955, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Mary Richardson Bryson and the late James Albert Bryson. He was a security guard at Walmart and a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother: Mary Richardson Bryson; two sisters: Barbara Brooks and Janet Bailey both of Hartwell; nieces and nephew: Ashley Brooks, Nathan White, Christina Hicks; great nieces and nephews: Alexis Byer, Kalie White, Joshua White, Carter Hicks; and one great-great niece: Jayden Brooks.Mr. Bryson was preceded in death by his father: James Albert Bryson.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 7, 2017, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon prior to the service.The family is at the home of Barbara Brooks, 181 Race Street, Hartwell. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA30643.
