Mr. Anthony Roy "Tony" Hilton Sr., 65, of Camelot Drive, Hartwell, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta GA.
Born on February 22, 1950 in Atlanta GA, he was the son of the late Roy H Hilton and Adeline Moses Hilton.Mr. Hilton received his Electrical Engineering Degree from Clemson University and his Masters in Business Administration from Webster College. He retired as a Plant Manager from Proctor & Gamble.He was also a member of the Hartwell Kiwanis Club and served on the Board of Directors of Hart Partners, where he was very active with and served as the committee chair for the local Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program.Mr. Hilton was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, where he was in the Choir and was very active with the different Capital Campaigns. He also served in the U.S. Air Force as a Navigator on C-130's.
Survivors include his wife: Chris Sumners Hilton; three daughters: Bonnie Theobald and her husband Brian of Cary NC, Pamela Muller and her husband Brett of John's Creek GA and Barbara Arnold and her husband Jerry of Watkinsville GA; a son: Anthony R. Hilton Jr. and his wife Elisabeth of Columbus GA; nine grandchildren: Amanda, Emily and Steven Theobald, Matt Muller, Jacob and Skylar Arnold, Lauryn, Samantha and Allison Hilton; a brother: Darryl Hilton of College Park GA and a sister: Linda Wendelschaefer and her husband John of Waverly Hall GA.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with a reception to follow in the church Founders Hall.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, c/o Hart Partners, PO Box 91, Hartwell GA 30643.
