Vanessa Greemon Ballenger, age 63, of Lavonia, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born December 20, 1960, in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Jack & Geraldine Hobbs Greemon. She was a graduate of Franklin County High School and was of the Church of God faith. She retired from Kimbles Skillet Kitchens as a district manager. She enjoyed playing bingo, but she loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces. Her favorite destination was trips to the mountains.

She is survived by her brother & sister-in-law: Jeff & Tina Greemon; nieces: Trisha (Justin)Patterson, Allea Greemon, and Ashley (Stephen) Jacobs; great-nieces: Charlie Ray Patterson and Maya Grace Jacobs; and two beloved fur-babies: Bella and Peanut. In addition to her parents, her brother: Jack Greemon, Jr. preceded her in death.

Vanessa was cremated in accordance with her request. The family will celebrate her life, in the spring, in the mountains that she loved.
