Mrs. Vanna Smith Stovall Randall, 77, of Old Beacon Light Road, Hartwell, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, GA.
Born on May 29, 1939 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late R. M. Smith, Jr. and Hazel Harrison Smith.Mrs. Randall was a retired LPN having worked with Dr. L.G. Cacchioli, Heritage Inn and Brown Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society and Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Vanna was very involved in the church throughout her life where she taught Sunday School, vacation Bible School, sang in the choir, taught grief support, participated in the WMU and traveled to Thailand as a missionary.
Survivors include two sons: Ronnie Stovall (Linda) of Clarkesville, TN and Richard Stovall (Mary) of Annapolis, MD; one daughter in love: Judy Stovall of Hartwell; three grandchildren: Glenn Stovall (Kim), Jeff Stovall (Joy), Kristy Schaefer (Thomas); three great-grandchildren: Aidan Stovall, Ethan Stovall and Sammy Schaefer; two brothers: James "Snuffy" Smith (Christine) of Lavonia, Phillip Smith (Deborah) of Myrtle Beach, SC. Mrs. Randall was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Clyde Randall; two sons: Wayne Stovall, Lester Stovall; two brothers: Roy Smith, Marion Smith and one sister: Angie Brooks.
A memorial service celebrating Vanna's life will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks and Dr. Charles Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church.The family is at the home of Judy Stovall, 23 West End Drive, Hartwell, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church Missions Fund, 1543 Anderson Hwy., Hartwell, GA 30643.
