Mrs. Ada Vernette King Cleveland, 83, of North Forest Ave., Hartwell, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Hartwell Health and Rehab.
Born on November 11, 1932 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Otto King and Edna Williams King.Mrs. Cleveland was a home maker and attended Hartwell Church of God.
Survivors include four sons: Eddie Cleveland and his wife Ann of Easley, SC, Dennis Cleveland and his wife Eula of Hartwell, Craig Cleveland and his wife Tina of Hartwell and Chad Cleveland of Royston; eight grandchildren: Michael Evans, Katie Lynn Marshall and Curt, Ethan Cleveland and Belinda, Elliot Cleveland and Erin, Cody Cleveland, Kacey Kennedy and Jonathan, Karlie Cleveland, Abby Cleveland, three great-grandchildren: Carsten Cleveland, Colton Cleveland and Bentley Kennedy also survive. Mrs. Cleveland was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Edgar Jackson Cleveland; one son: Edgar Jackson Cleveland, Jr.; one brother: Bruce King; two sisters: Betty Bowen and Faye Cleveland.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 15, 2015, 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett and Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
