Obituary
Ms. Vickie Kellum Shiflet, age 57 of 316 Sunnybrook Lane, Hartwell, Ga. died in Hart County on Thursday, January 25, 2007.
Born December 6, 1949 in Elbert County, she was the daughter of the late Estee Kellum and the late Nell Kellum.She was a graduate of Anderson University with honors receiving a Bachelor's Degree, she was past member and officer of the Hartwell Pilot Club, past member of the Chamber of Commerce, Credit Women International and she was a member of the Rotary Club of Hartwell.Ms. Shiflet was the retired Vice-President of Hart EMC and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughter, Brooke Shiflet of Hartwell, Ga., brother, Don Kellum of Elberton, Ga., and special friend, John Duke of Hartwell, Ga.She is preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Canales and Pat Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Hartwell, Ga. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.The family will be at the home of her brother, Don Kellum 1955 Hartwell Hwy. in Elberton. Memorials can be made to Hart County Relay for Life, 1610 Lightwood Road, Hartwell, Ga. 30643
