Mrs. Virginia Hilley Ayers, 85, of Cade Street, Hartwell, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on August 4, 1929 in Canon GA, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Hilley and Mynie Brown Hilley Fleming.Mrs. Ayers was retired from Bellcraft Mfg Co., a member of the Milltown Baptist Church, attended the Price Chapel Church of God and the Women's Ministry.She was a member of the Red Hats and traveled with The Hicks Family for several years.

Survivors include two daughters: Martha Jean Hill and Dianne Pointer both of Hartwell; two sons: Wayne Ayers of Lavonia and Larry Ayers of Bowersville; a sister: Bobbie Seymour of Deland FL; twelve grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren and fourteen great great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William Bedford "Bell" Ayers; her sister: Joyce Smith; two grandchildren: Amber Michael Pointer and William Ryan Pointer and a great-grandchild: Destiny Rohn.

Funeral services will Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Price Chapel Church of God with Rev. Johnny Stowe, Mr. Fred Greenway and Mr. Thomas Jordan officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday evening. The family is at the home of Martha Jean and Marvin Hill, 17 Oak Tree Lane, Hartwell.
