Mrs. Virginia Ellen Evans Crump, age 74 of 914 North Forest Avenue, Hartwell, Ga., died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Hart County Hospital

Born December 31, 1930 in Elbert County, she was the daughter of the late Clay Evans and Flora Snow Evans Craft. She was a retired L.P.N. with 40 years of service having worked with Hart County Hospital and Heritage Inn Nursing Home. She was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by: son, W. Keith Crump of Hartwell, Ga., and daughter, Elaine Rowland, Hartwell, Ga. Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by parents, and a sister, Doris Evans North.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Mike Bearden and Rev. James Sexton will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hart County Relay for Life, 1610 Lightwood Road, Hartwell, Ga. 30643

The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will be at the home of Elaine Rowland, 95 Sunset Drive, Hartwell, Ga.
