Mrs. Virginia L. Partain Goddard, 73, of 1078 Ridge Road, Hartwell, GA, died Monday, October 06, 2008 at her home.

Born July 9, 1935 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Homer L. Partain and Elvie Wright Partain.She was a homemaker and a member of Hartwell Church of God.

She is survived by:Husband, Joel T. Goddard of the home; Son, Jeff Goddard and his wife Connie of Hartwell; Daughters, Sheila Adams and her husband Mike, and Jan Carey and her husband Albert all of Hartwell, GA, Raised in the home, Thomas Goddard and his wife Bobbi Jo of Hinesville, GA; Brother, Terrell Partain of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Louise Posey, Susie Sanders, Jerldean Senkbeil, Brenda Mitchell and Sheryl Robinson all of Hartwell, GA; Three grandchildren, Tanya Wilson and her husband Matt, Brittany Sanders and her husband Christopher, Amber Belanger and her husband Larry and seven great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by parents; brother, Charles Partain and a grandchild, Niki Ankerich.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Lonnie Bennett will officiate.Entombment will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
