Obituary
Ms. Virginia M. Herring, 83, of Hartwell, died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.
Born on April 20, 1928 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Herring and Lillie Hembree Herring.She worked for Hart Care Center in the laundry department and was a member of Milltown Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sisters:Jessie Vickery, and Mattie Lou Moore. Ms. Herring was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Frank Herring, Charles Herring and JC Herring; and two sisters:Elizabeth Farmer and Ruth Vickery.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:00pm at Milltown Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Black and Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.The family is at the home of Jessie Vickery at 392 McCurry Road, Hartwell.
