Mrs. Virginia Cromer Hix, 80 of 378 Lavonia Hwy. Hartwell died Tuesday, February 09, 2010 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on January, 11 1930 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Earl Cromer and Mary Merle Adams Cromer.She was a homemaker and a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church and the Inspiration Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband Kent D. Hix of the home, son T. Mark Hix and his wife Joy of Bowersville; two sisters, Eunice David of Royston, and Merlene C. Shuman of Athens; two grandchildren Blake and Brandon Hix also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers M.C. and Tom Cromer.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Mike Fugate and Rev. Johnny Ashworth officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night. The family is at the home.
