Mrs. Virginia Madden Russell Ihle, 86, of Harvey Street, Hartwell, died Thursday July 2, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.

Born on October 26, 1928 in Rome, GA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Edgar Madden, Sr. and Effie Agnes Wright Madden.Mrs. Ihle was retired from the Hart County High School as an office manager and worked at Ridgeway & Ridgeway, Attorneys at Law. She was a former member of the Pilot Club of Hartwell, formerly attended Trinity Baptist Church of Seneca SC and attended Impact Church of Hartwell.

Survivors include four grandchildren: Kirk Russell, Julie Russell Mehr, Sterling Russell and Jeremy Russell; one brother: Curtis Madden of Anderson and one sister: Doris Marett of Hartwell.Mrs. Ihle was preceded in death by her first husband: C. Warna Russell and her second husband: Albert Ihle; two sons: Mickey Russell, Steve Russell; one brother Dan Madden, Jr. and one sister: Sara Alice Moorhead.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Nick Rucker and Dr. Ryan Wilson officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 Monday prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes.
