Mrs. Frances "Virginia" (Jordan) Patterson, 84, of Bowersville, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at AnMed Health in Anderson.
Born October 11, 1932, Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Mary Inez (Wright) Jordan. She was a retired daycare provider and of the Baptist faith.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Walton "Pat" Patterson; granddaughter: Melinda Kaye Weaver; and brothers: Dorsey Jordan and Charlie Jordan.
She is survived by her daughter: Patsy Bailey; daughter and son-in-law: Deborah & Ronnie Weaver; sister: Kathryn Bradley; brothers and sisters-in-law: Willie & Pauline Jordan and Rev. Ben & Opal Jordan; foster children: Boyce Austin and Pam Peverly; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the charity of one's choice.
