Mrs. Virginia Dare Roberson Senkbeil, age 88, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Born July 24, 1933, in Marion County, AL, she was a daughter of the late J. S. and Dessie Ola Ayers Roberson. She was a homemaker and a member of Lavonia First Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and loved crocheting, sewing, and knitting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Vandiver "A.V." Senkbeil; son-in-law: Bob McGarity; sister: Angie Faye Kimbrell; brother-in-law: Carl Senkbeil, and sister-in-law: Emma Lee Strickland.

She is survived by her daughters: Jane McGarity and Faye Senkbeil, both of Hartwell; brother: Dale T. Roberson (Earlean) of Birmingham, AL; granddaughter: Leigh Anne Myers (Nathan); canine companion: Parker; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family has requested a private funeral service at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Burial will follow in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations to the Lavonia First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 47, Lavonia, GA 30553.
