Ms. Virginia Brown Woodall, 87, of West Franklin Place, Hartwell, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Hart Care Center.

Born on May 20, 1930 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Otis Newt Brown and Selma Evans Brown.Mrs. Woodall was a retired seamstress for the Hartwell Company and a member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Brenda Norris and Calvin and Carolyn Daniel and Jerry all of Hartwell; two sons: Roger Woodall of Elberton and Tommy Woodall and Julie of Cherokee NC; four sisters: Linda Haygood and Bobbie Nell Tucker both of Hartwell, Viola Tollison of Acworth GA and Frances Bryant of Anderson SC; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren also survive.Ms. Woodall was preceded in death by her husband: Albert "Bud" Woodall; three sons: David Woodall, Matthew Woodall and Ricky Woodall; eight brothers: Monroe, Elan, J.C., Paul, Charles, Frank, Floyd and Hamp Brown.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Pastor Menford Duncan.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon.The family will be at the home of Chip and Deanna Daniel, 402 Vickery Street, Hartwell.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to Inspiring Hospice, 126 Barrington Drive, Athens, GA 30605.
