Wanda Dene Farmer, age 73, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at her home.

Born June 10, 1951, in Lavonia, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ola Grace Farmer. Before retirement she worked as a CNA for Hart Care Center. Mrs. Farmer was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband: Richard "Rick" Gilleland; daughter: Christy Cromer (Alvin); stepson: Gary Gilleland (Misty); grandchildren: Adam Harvey (Amanda), Ashlyn Myers (Rashad); great grandchildren: Addison Harvey, Raelynn Moon and Mila Blackwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Perry Farmer, Lalon Farmer, Edwin Farmer, Diane McBroom, Louise Bristow, and Sara Whitfield.

Mrs. Farmer's request was cremation, and a visitation will be held Thursday evening, May 1, 2025, at the funeral home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home of Christy Cromer.
