Mrs. Wanda Jane Blakely Floyd, age 60, of Lavonia, died Friday, October 22, 2010 at her home.
Born March 9, 1950 in Royston, she was the daughter of Susan White Blakely and the late Ray Blakely. She was a licensed Beautician and was a homemaker. Mrs. Floyd was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her father and a brother: Tommy Blakely.
She is survived by her mother: Susan Blakely of Lavonia; husband: Maurice Floyd of the home; sister & brother-in-law: Susan & Carey Parker of Lavonia; brother: Mike Blakely of Lavonia; brother & sister-in-law: Sam & Christy Blakely of Toccoa; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Finger & Rev. Jason DeFoor officiating. Entombment will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday.At other hours the family will be at the home.
