Wayne Terry Bagwell, age 61, of Carnesville, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born August 6, 1959, in Duluth, he was the son of the late George and Emma Lee (Bailey) Bagwell. Prior to disability, he worked as a construction worker for Grizzle Construction. Wayne was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Ricky Ray Bagwell and Michael Bagwell.
He is survived by his children: Little Rick (Starla) Grizzle, Jamie Fouts, Clint (Amanda) Grizzle, and Elizabeth (Eligha) Criner; friend and mother of his children: Sue (Menno) Gremmer; twelve grandchildren; aunt: Janice (Sambo) Mathis; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
