Mr. Wayne Eugene "Chip" Dean, 71, of 122 Junction 77 Hwy., Hartwell, GA, died Sunday, May 20, 2007 at his home.
Born February 3, 1936 in Hart County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Wilton Dean and Eddie Lee Vickery Dean.He was a Brick Mason and a member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church.
Survivors include:Wife, Martha Gay Dean of the home; Son, Eugene Dean of Hartwell, GA; Daughters, Mary Sisk of Alto, GA, Yvonne Dutton of Hartwell, GA and Stacey Dean of Alto, GA; Brother, Larry Dean of Doyline, Louisiana; Sisters, Mary Singleton of Lavonia, GA, Ann Vice of Maryville, TN and Beulah Dunn of Anderson, SC; Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. He is preceded in death by parents and three brothers, Robert Dean, Jim Dean and Joel Dean.
The body was cremated.Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 ~ 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family will be at the home of Steve Keller, 3928 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell.
