Mr. Wayne R. Simpson, 76, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta GA.
Born on June 9, 1943 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Clarence Waco Simpson and Josephine Sadler Simpson Adams.Mr. Simpson was former machine operator at NVF.Mr. Simpson was also a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.
Mr. Simpson is survived by a niece and a nephew and several cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Harry Simpson and Bryan Simpson.
Wayne wished to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date by his family.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
