Mr. Omer Wendell Brown, 91, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 at his home.

Born on July 20, 1934, in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Omer S. Brown and Minnie Evans Brown. Mr. Brown was a tool & die operator for Tenneco, and was a charter member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife: Emily Stovall Brown; two daughters: Elizabeth Brown of Greenville, SC, and Wendy Brown of Hartwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Arthur T. Brown; and sister: Faye Brown Cole.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Wendell Brown will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Brad Starnes and Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Hills Memorial Park in Elberton.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church "Beyond Our Measure" Fund, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
