Wendell Terrell Wehunt, age 49, of Lavonia, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at his home.
Born May 7, 1969, in Royston, Georgia, he was the son of Beatrice (Wood) Wehunt and the late Winford Terrell Wehunt. He was employed as a carpet installer. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sister: Teresa Chitwood; and a grandson: Ben "Big B" DiCara.
He is survived by his mother: Beatrice (Wood) Wehunt; wife: Robin (Crump) Wehunt of the home; daughter: Amber Leanne Wehunt: sons: Jacob Trent Wehunt & Amanda Martin, Justin Scott & Liliana Wehunt, Tony Lamar DiCara, Ryan & Bre Adkins, Robert & Danielle Pearson, Russell Pearson & April Kennedy; grandchildren: Payton, Mia & Brayden Wehunt, Alie, Addison, Mason & Lexie DiCara, Tristin, Ashlynn, Brier & Baileen Adkins, Anna & Trinity Pearson and Bailey Kennedy; siblings: Wendy & Wesley Norton, Angelo & Sonya DiCara, Doug Chitwood & Danny Chitwood.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Childress officiating.Burial will follow in the Lavonia City - Burgess Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Donnie Wehunt, Mike Smith, Bill Flippin, Tommy Wehunt, Greg Blackwell, Chris Wehunt & Fred Frady.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home of his son, Justin, 407 Old Royston Road Canon, GA. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to defrayfuneral expenses.
