Mr. Samuel Wesley White, 77, of Wayne Circle, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.

Born on May 29, 1941 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Sam B. White and Gertrude Singleton White.Mr. White formerly employed by Sibley Mill and was a retired forklift driver for Tenneco Automotive.

Survivors include his wife Becky Jones White; three sons: Randy White & Faith of Anderson, SC, Gary White & Cheryl of Hartwell, and Steven White and fiancé Michelle Fields of Hartwell; two brothers: Jack White of Bowersville, GA, and Bobby White of Hartwell; three sisters: Eva Nelle Powell, Linda Mize, and Connie Dutton all of Hartwell; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Sharry Greenway.

A memorial service celebrating Wesley's life will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service.The family will be at Mr. White's home, 153 Wayne Circle, Hartwell, GA.
