Mrs. Whilimena Antley McAlhany, 81 of Walnut Drive, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson, SC.

Born on December 24, 1934 in Canaan Community, Orangeburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie Abraham Antley and Pearl Blitchington Antley.Mrs. McAlhany was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: Raymond H. "Mac" McAlhany; three daughters: Linda Wood (Dale) of Bowersville, Janice Freeman (Tony), Cindy Lawrence (Tony) both of Hartwell; one sister: Hazel Kittrell of Orangeburg, SC; eight grandchildren:and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. McAlhany was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Marilyn McAlhany Greenway; and two brothers: James Antley and Marvin Antley.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 7, 2016, at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Donald Little officiating.Burial will be in the McAlhany Family Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.The family is at the home.
