Mr. Willard John Howells, age 72, of Martin, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born December 21, 1942, in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Fred and Marion Howey Howells. He retired as a tax examiner with the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Howells was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 92. He was a member of New Franklin Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Elaine Taylor Howells; daughter: Sheryl Leigh Howells Weeks; grandchildren: Corey Andrew Weeks and Courtney Leigh-Howells Weeks; and great grandson: Cooper Andrew Weeks.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at New Franklin Christian Church with Pastor Carl Beckham officiating. Burial will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home.
