Mr. William Ray Dove, 64, of 2693 Dempsey Brown Rd, Dewy Rose, died Saturday, March 07, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on April 6, 1944 in Hart Co. GA, he was the son of the late Charlie Ray Dove and Ruby Carlon Dove.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gail Owens Dove of the home; three sons, Kenneth Ray Dove of Elberton, Douglas Wayne Dove of Colbert and Jeffery Scott Dove of Hartwell; a step-son, Thomas Daniel Parker of Hartwell; two step-daughters, Teresa Banks of Lincolnton and Tina Peeples of Canon; two brothers, Ronnie Dale Dove of Elberton and Michael Blane Dove of Lavonia; a sister, Shelby D. Scott of Cary NC; four grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren also survives.Mr. Dove was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timothy Craig Dove; a brother, Donnie Tyrone Dove and two sisters, Brenda D. Anthony and Linda D. Drake.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 10 at 4:00 in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.Mr. Dove will be cremated following the memorial service.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.The family is at the home.
