Mr. William Howard Stowe, 75, of Kesler Road, Canon, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at his home.

Born on June 26, 1940 in Canon GA, He was the son of the late William C. Stowe and Elizabeth Johnson Stowe.Mr. Stowe was a retired farmer and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, where was a former Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Choir member and served on various committees throughout the years.

Survivors include his wife: Nina Gray Stowe; three daughters: Kathy Brock and her husband Wayne of Martin, Gwen Teasley and her husband Saan of Hartwell and Sondra Dodd and her husband Paul of Canon; a sister: Joyce Yeargin and her husband Mike of Hartwell; seven grandchildren: Mandi Sutton and Chris, Nikki Gibson and Brandon, Lauren Gagnon and Bryan, Caitlin Dye and Adam, Drew Teasley, Ellie Dodd and Jake Dodd and four great-grandchildren: Payton Sutton, Walker Sutton, Kaylyn Gibson and Grayson Gibson also survive.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Durham officiating.Burial will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening.The family is at the home.
