Mrs. Willie Chitwood Brown, age 81 of 3025 New Prospect Road, Hartwell, Ga., died Wednesday, November 29, 2006at Hart County Hospital
Born October 24, 1925 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of late Arvin Chitwood and Lula Watkins Chitwood. She was formerly employed with Owens-Corning Fiberglass and was a member of the Mount Olivet Church of God.
She is survived by: sons, Jimmy Brown, Anderson, S.C., and Greg Brown, Hartwell, Ga., brothers, Shelton Chitwood and Chandler Chitwood, both of Hartwell, Ga., sisters, Geraldine Austin, Eugina Lecoq and Rolvie McCollum, all of Hartwell, Ga. Four Grandchildren and Nine Great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Aubrey Johnson "A.J." Brown and brothers, Frank Chitwood and Virgil Chitwood.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. J.B. Kitts and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Church of God Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. The family will be at the home.
