Mr. Willie R. "Doc" Carroll, 77, of Randall Street, Hartwell, died Wednesday, June 03, 2015 at his home.

Born on March 31, 1938 in Banning GA, he was the son of the Ira W. Carroll and Fannie Ruth Potts Carroll.Mr. Carroll was retired from the City of Hartwell and from the Hart County Middle School.He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Emily Irvin Carroll; a son: Eddie Carroll and his wife Diane of Hartwell; two sisters: Virginia C. Thornton of Florida and Clara Carroll of Alabama; four grandchildren: Stephen Carroll, Catherine Harris, Amanda Herrington and Cayden Nelson and five great-grandchildren: Madison Herrington, Isabella Herrington, Paytin Harris, Briana Sognauong and Alyssa Smith also survive.Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Anthony Thomas Carroll; three brothers: Raymond Carroll, James Carroll and Willard Carroll and two sisters: Evelyn C. Marrett and Nellie Millwood.

Memorial services will be Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Starrett officiating. The family will receive friends after the memorial service.The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1276 Royston Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.
