Mrs. Willie Mae Jones, 89, of 17 Opal Street, Hartwell, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.

Born on December 27, 1923 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Elmo Hill and Rachel Haygood Hill.Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and member of Clarks Creek Baptist Church in Martin, GA.

Survivors include three sons: Bobby Jones, Todd Jones and Mark Jones all of Hartwell; three daughters: Faye Craft of Anderson, Becky White and Bonnie Jones of Hartwell; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David J. Jones; a son, James David Jones; a daughter, Virginia Evelyn Jones Human; two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Burial will be in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm just prior to the service. The family is at the home of Becky and Wesley White, 153 Wayne Circle, Hartwell, GA30643.
