Mr. Willie H. Kidd, 75, of Nancy Drive, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Bowman GA on May 25, 1942, he was the son of the late Jack Kidd Sr. and Ruby Brown Kidd. Mr. Kidd was retired from the Elbert County Road Department and a member of the Bowman Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Glenda Moon Kidd; his son: Troy Kidd of Hartwell; his daughter: Amy Wilder and her husband Russell of Royston; a brother: Tom Kidd of Dewy Rose and four grandchildren: Andrew Wilder, Caleb Wilder, Gabriel Wilder and Autumn Wilder.Mr. Kidd was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Jack Kidd Jr., Rabun Kidd and Jerry Kidd and two sisters: Molene Kellum and Barbara Walters.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Mike Petty officiating.Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowman.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening.The family is at their respective homes.
