Mr. Willie B. Tomlin, age 79 of 94 Cade Street, Hartwell, Ga., died Friday, January 26, 2007 at Hart County Hospital.

Born August 8, 1927 in White County, he was the son of the late Owen Efford Tomlin and Martha Jane Foster Tomlin. He was a self-employed carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by: sons, Mike Tomlin of Hartwell, Ga., and Mark Tomlin of Hartwell, Ga., daughters, Patsy T. Black of Elberton, Ga., and Paula T. Pilgrim of Royston, Ga., sisters, Thelma Helton of Cleveland, Ga., Corrella Price of Flowery Branch, Ga., Omogene Humphries of Dawsonville, Ga., and Brenda Martin of Gainesville, Ga. Five grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alice Louise Martin Tomlin, brothers, Thomas, Loffett and Bobby Tomlin, and by a sister, Kay Von Howington.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Strickland Funeral Home in Hartwell.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland, Ga. Rev. W.A. Jenkins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service. The family will be at the home of his son, Mark Tomlin 72 Cade Street in Hartwell.
