Mr. Windel Eugene Cleveland, 78, of Lavonia Hwy, Bowersville, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his home.

Born on August 18, 1940 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Seab Henry Cleveland and Eula Mae Payne Cleveland.Mr. Cleveland was a retired auto mechanic for Tom Bush VW, Jacksonville, FL, and a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Lorraine Celata Cleveland; his daughter: Michele Rupp (Steve) of Hemstead, TX; two brothers: Charles Cleveland (Evette) of Danielsville, Jr Cleveland (Becky) of Bowersville; two sisters: Loretta Brautigan, Lola White (Jack) all of Bowersville; two grandchildren: Danielle Bauer (Eric), Stephanie Dudley (Ben); four great-grandchildren: Allison Bauer, Bryce Bauer, Bailey Rupp and Seth Rupp.Mr. Cleveland was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Carey Cleveland, John Cleveland, Willie Cleveland, Alton Cleveland and one sister: Louise Cleveland.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer, Rev. Tommy Cleveland, and Rev. Cory Pulliam officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
