Mr. Winfred Henry "Guinea" Reed, 90, of Woodlake Landing, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at his home.

Born on September 29, 1928 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Lev B. Reed and Daisy Griffin Reed. Mr. Reed was a retired welder from Owens Corning Fiberglass and of the Pentecostal faith.He was a US Army veteran, member of the Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge #690 and Yarrab Temple.

Survivors include one son: Jerry Wayne Reed and his wife Beth of Lavonia; four grandchildren: Rebecca Wilson (Ken), Lee Anna Reed, Ashleigh Haley (Brandon), Austin Reed; three great grandchildren: Kensleigh Wilson, Lenzie Wilson, and Preston Reed.Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his son: Billy W. Reed and one sister: Imogene Whitaker.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
