Mr. Winston Roy Brown, 74, of 406 Jud Cole Road, Bowersville, GA, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Born in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Joe M. Brown and Lorene Herring Brown.He was a graduate of Hart County High School and North Georgia Technical College.He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge and a U.S. Army Korean Veteran.He served as a Deacon at Milltown Baptist Church and Cross Roads Baptist Church.He was a Brick Mason.

Survivors include:Wife, Mallie Lou Stovall Brown of the home; Daughter, Christine Caldwell and her husband Keith of Lavonia, GA; Sons, Keith Brown of Fairfield, CA, and Dale Brown and his wife Patti of Hartwell, GA; Grandchildren, Wesley and Holly Thompson of Hartwell, GA, Lindsay Browning of South Royalton, Vermont, Jeff, Savanna and Karli Brown of Hartwell, GA; Great grandchild, Clay Thompson of Hartwell, GA; Sister, Cathryn Griffin of Townville, SC; Brothers, Julius, Ken and Tommy Brown of Hartwell, GA and Eddie Brown of High Point, NC.He is preceded in death by Sister, Jeanette Kay and a brother, Owen Brown.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Roads Baptist Church.Revs. Ben Coleman, Rev. Perry Brown and Mr. Grant Martin will officiate.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church Building Fund, 3636 Lavonia Hwy., Hartwell, GA30643.
