Mrs. Yvo Delores Vandiver Walters, age 70, of 45 New Town Road, Lavonia, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at her home.
Born July 13, 1940, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late: O.P. and Jessie Morgan Vandiver. She was retired from Auto Zone and was a member of the Lavonia First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Johnnie Nabors.
She is survived by her husband: Tommy A. Walters of the home; daughter: Tabatha D. Walters and granddaughter: Morgan Hope Walters of the home; daughter & son-in-law: Mona Lisa & Scotty Smith and grandsons: Scott Smith and William Thomas "Bill" Smith of Martin; and sisters: Imogene Maxwell & Darlene Mauldin of Lavonia, Ann Redd of Hiawassee, and Barbara Sosby of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Finger and Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Lavonia First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 47, Lavonia, GA 30553.
