We honor the beautiful life of Zoie Marie Atkinson, age 19, of Carnesville, who passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born on January 16, 2007, in Toccoa GA. Zoie was the beloved daughter of Brian Atkinson and Christena Mize Atkinson. The granddaughter of Richard and Karen Mize of Carnesville GA, Doug Atkinson, and the late Sandra Atkinson of Carnesville and bonus granddaughter of William and Ann-Marie Morgan and David Johnson. She was a 2025 graduate of Franklin County High School and a freshman at University of Georgia, where she was beginning to chase the dreams that so beautifully matched her bright spirit.
Zoie lived with passion, creativity, and a heart that made people feel deeply loved. She especially loved theater and art. Whether she was on stage, creating art, or simply sharing space with others, Zoie carried a light that drew people in.
She truly poured her imagination and heart into everything she created and was, she inspired others not only through her talent, but through her kindness, leadership, and joyful spirit.
Zoie loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and embraced life with warmth, wonder and yes, a little bit of that red-headed sass. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a member of Encounter Church.
She is survived by her mother, Christena Mize Atkinson (Neal Harrell); her father, Brian Atkinson (Claire); and her beloved siblings, Zabian, Zada, Laiah, Jocelyn, and Kristian, and “bonus” siblings: Arianna Tuttle, Bella Tuttle, Chloe Tuttle, Serenity Tuttle, along with countless family members, friends, classmates, teachers, and community members who loved her deeply.
Though her time here was far too short, Zoie’s life was full of purpose, beauty, laughter, creativity, and love. Her impact will continue to live on in every life she touched, every stage she stood on, every piece of art she created, and every heart forever changed by knowing her.
