Mrs. Zola Delorse Wooster Davis, age 87, of Lavonia, died Monday, September 19, 2011 at her home.
Born February 20, 1924 in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Kirk Albert & Susie Mae Chambers Wooster. She had served as a Juvenile Office for Dekalb County Corrections. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Clarence Wooster, George Wooster, Karl Wooster, Kirk Wooster, Andrew Wooster, & Charles Wooster; sisters: Betty Smith, Lilla May Amerson, Louise Andrews, Jane Davis, & Viola Wynn.
She is survived by her husband: Jasper "Jeff" Davis; sons & daughters-in-law: Jeff & Candice Davis of Pendleton, SC and Walt & Emilie Davis of Huntersville, NC; daughter & son-in-law: Nancy & Joe Snell of Monroe; grandchildren: Joe Snell, III, Sherri Snell Rollins, Brian Davis, Brad Davis, Brett Davis, Faith Davis Stillwell, Joshua Davis, & Grace Davis Welch; great grandchildren: Jessica Gibson, Clay Rollins, Thomas Rollins, Emma Davis, John Austin Davis, J. D. Davis, & Colt Davis; great-great grandchild: Maeleigh Gibson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Jones and Rev. David Lacock officiating. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
