Alma Roberts

Mrs. Alma Winona Wilson Roberts, age 88, of Lavonia, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Alma was born February 4, 1938, in Lavonia. She was a daughter of the late Jesse Junior “J.J.” and Alma Winona Wilson. Alma had a Bachelor of Science Degree and before retirement she worked as a Sign Language Interpreter for Franklin County School System. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a Master Gardener, growing her own food. Alma loved traveling.

She is survived by her husband: Kenneth C. Norris; children: Marie Hendrix (Kenneth), Donna Walker, Michael Roberts, Patsy Adams (Dan), Beth Andrews (Tim), Dale Roberts, and Danny Roberts (Keri); brothers: Ted Wilson and Ray Wilson; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents. She was preceded in death by brothers: Glenn Wilson, Butch Wilson, Jesse Wilson, and Cecil Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ken Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Blake Andrews, Kelly Andrews, Kyle Andrews, Bryan Walker, John Walker, Joseph Walker, and Luke Walker.
